IYTF “VREME” was held for a first time in 1987 from theatre group “TEMP” and Youth house – Vratza, with the friendly support of the Central European Committee CEC of the AITA/IATA. Until 1992 the Festival exists only as a Festival with a national participation and a minimal participation of groups from others countries. From its 5th edition the Festival becomes international. From the 7th edition by a decision of the Organizing Committee of the Festival because of the best organization, it is held in every two years. The aim of the Festival is not a measurability of the forum, but it is realizing of a youth theatre holiday for making contacts, exchanging opinions and experience, discussions, workshops. It is visited by observes of the AITA/IATA. Until now the groups which have been participated in the International Youth Theatre Festival VREME are: United Kingdom, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Germany, Georgia, Egypt, Estonia, Israel, India, Iran, Spain, Italy, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Rwanda, Romania, Russia, United American States, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Slovakia, Serbia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, Netherlands, Croatia, Czech Republic, South Korea.
